Squarespace Website: Element Design New York
I love the process of building Squarespace websites. It starts with a business or an idea, turns into colors and pictures, and with SEO research and lots of content writing, soon the whole thing comes together. For Chris Butterworth, an up-and-coming landscape designer based in New York, we got to build his online presence as he begins to build his business, and the result is the new Element Design & Build website.
The biggest challenge with Chris’ site is the reason we are building it: he wants to start creating a clientele, and have a home for his new projects. Because of this, we had to coordinate as I chose images that represented the work he would be able to do, a clear representation of where he wants his business to go in the future as he continues to provide landscapes, patios, and more in and around Westchester, New York.
The most important factor of this website - and most, to be honest! - is having one clear call-to-action. For Element Construction, the CTA if filling out the contact form or, better yet, calling Chris directly to discuss a project. The quicker we can move potential customers from viewing the website to having a conversation, the better.
Another crucial element is answer customer questions before they are even asked. We used Chris’ experience to build out a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section that will help clients know exactly what to expect when they decide to undertake a project with Chris. Setting clear expectations from the beginning is helpful for both a business owner and his or her customers, so this became a central part of the plan.
After months of work, decisions about domain names, and lots of changes along the way, I am thrilled to launch the new Squarespace website for Element Design & Build New York. Go take a look around and leave a comment with your favorite part of Chris’ new website…or just leave some words of encouragement for this brand new business owner!
